SUMMARY:Seedling Worlds
DESCRIPTION:\nSamstag, 7. November 2026, 15.00 bis 17.30 UhrOrt: < rotor >, Volksgartenstraße 6a, 8020 GrazMehr Info: https://rotor.mur.at/con_SeedlingWorlds_eng.html ( https://rotor.mur.at/con_SeedlingWorlds_eng.html )\n\n\n\nSeeds carry memories of resistance and subsistence, but also of colonization, appropriation, exploitation. They carry ancestral knowledges that refused to disappear; they are portals into more rebellious and just futures, medicine for our biological and social soil. Seeds are teachers of other ways of living, learning, and relating to the world.\n\n\n\nSeed justice practices—defending, reproducing, sharing, and reclaiming seeds—are ways of cultivating worlds rooted in reciprocity, biodiversity, care, interdependence, and solidarity, relating across territories, communities, and species.\n\n\n\nAlessandra Pomarico, curator, educator, author, organizer at the intersection of art, radical pedagogy, community building and activism, co-founder of Free Home University, Firefly Frequencies Radio Platform and Ecoversities Alliance among other projects and processes.\n\n\n\nNikolay Oleynikov, artist, curator, activist, musician, political refugee. Member of Chto Delat International, Arkady Kots Band, co-curator of Free Home University, author of “Sex of the Oppressed” (The Free Marxist Press) and co-editor with Alessandra Pomarico of “When the Roots Start Moving” (Archive Books).\n\n\n\nThe workshop takes place in the framework ofAYOCOTL Seed Library for AllA place of learning. A common good. A growing network.\n\n\n\nThe AYOCOTL Seed Library for All is installed in the café room of < rotor >. First and foremost, it facilitates the storage and distribution of plant seeds, but it also collects information and specialist literature on the subject and provides a space for studying seeds and for discussion. In addition, a library of the soils of Graz is currently being established.\n\n\n\nThe Seed Library for All is a place of learning that combines local adaptation with the conservation of plant varieties and is run on a community basis. Here you can obtain seeds of varieties that have already been tried and tested locally, take your time, share experiences and work together to develop them further. However, the Seed Library only works if more seeds are returned than are taken. Without seeds, there would be no food, no clothing, no raw materials—no life as we know it. Seeds are a contract we have entered with our ancestors—and also with all those who will come after us. For thousands of years, people have been storing, exchanging and propagating seeds—often as a matter of course in their everyday lives.\n\n\n\nJoin in and become part of our growing seed network!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n!!
