APRI member Dr. Edward T. Canuel will introduce us to the concept of the blue economy, a concept that aims to lead to a prosperous and sustainable economy, more wealth, and jobs worldwide.
In this presentation, you will discover what this concept means exactly, what it means in practice, and the various interdisciplinary issues which intersect it. The Arctic will then be focused on as a case study where many of the blue economy’s concepts meld together. The crucial role of critical infrastructure within the blue economy context, particularly when discussing Arctic issues, will be reviewed.
